August 27, 1954 the French and North Vietnamese signed their treaty the US Army was on the ground in Southeast Asia

A JUSMAG Special Operations Group consisting of three officers and 30 E.M. The groups were the Army Security Agency 327th Comm. Recon. Co. from Japan; mostly Korean veterans

the 6920th USAFSS from Japan and the 29th Radio Squadron Mobile from the Philippines

   United States Army Signal Research Unit 11 - 1 August 1962 - 1 September 1969

In 1959, 37 men were transferred from various ASA bases in the United States to Two Rock Ranch, Petaluma, California. Under Special Orders dated September 18, 1959 these men were sent to the 9th ASAin the Philippine Islands. From this group a handful went on to Bangkok.
